The Rumson Country Day School

The school has gone done dramatically academically in the years since we first started. Too many good teachers have left or were let go, no leadership and they do not have the amenities to justify their price.

We have been attending the Rumson Country Day School for 6 years now. My children love their school. It is such a happy learning environment where children are respected and different learning styles are fostered. With small classes and family lunch there is a great sense of community among the children, all staff members, and parents alike. There are fantastic offerings of extra curricular activities that take learning to a whole new level. This school supports whole learning for the whole child. RCDS ALL THE WAY!

The difference I have seen in my children (grade 2 & 6) since bringing them to RCDS last year is nothing less than miraculous. The small class size and focus on fostering self-confidence and resiliency have impacted them in really positive ways. And they love the family-style lunch and daily recess or gym (among other non-academic activities) that match up with our family value for well-rounded children. Proud to be a Gator!

Rumson Country Day School is an institution that is based in both reality and fantasy. The reality is, that they do have some good courses there. The fantasy is, they have the nerve to charge and keep applicant's money (they kept $3000 of our money) when and if, you decide to not go to their school. We chose to send our daughter to Ranney and have never regretted that decision. After speaking with the Dean, the accounting department and others at the school, it's clear they are money and blood hungry. I'm glad we trusted our instincts and didn't go there, even after they stole our deposit money. As if they need it. Here is a hint: Don't put money down unless you're literally willing to sign away your life. They're blue bloods who are controlling and blood thirsty.
