Read what parents are saying about Moorestown Children's SchoolMy son has been going to this school since he was 2 1/2. Hes going on 5 now. My son was making little progress at home since his brother is limited in verbal skills with autism. So i knew I needed to immerse him amongst peers developing as he was.I sought this school out even though its half hour away. I did not want him attending a sterile and overly structured school like goddard. This was my personal decision for him. Best choice I made. They helped him potty train in ways I couldn't at home. They helped him learn to read, count, figure time and dates. He has learned and come such a long way. Its on a farm so the kids have endless room to run. They bring the kids out as much as possible, even get to play in snowsuits in winter. So much for them to do and learn. Owner, Sue, is so kind and helpful and has worked with me on so much with accommodating him. He will begin Kindergarten in our district in the fall. That will be 3 years he was there. He will be far ahead of kids academically once he begins. He even learned Mandarin at the school. Best decision we made sending him here. The ride driving him can be a lot at times with two working parents, but its far worth it!

Posted by a community member on 11/18/2013Moorestown Children's School provides a great environment for any child. My daughter has special needs and they provide her opportunities to learn at her own pace and in her own way. Unlike many daycares, MCS allows children a lot of flexibility to learn through play. MCS staff encourage a child's individual interests in addition to providing organized instruction and activities. MCS embraced my daughter when her special needs led three other daycares to not allow her to attend. MCS staff have a lot of experience working with special needs and my daughter has thrived there for now for three years. My daughter has made many friends and looks forward to going to MCS each day. In addition to their great care MCS is located on a small farm, which means they have a very large and open playground with lots of options for outside play year round. The farm also has several animals that the children can interact with (most recently baby goats in a small pen). Overall I can't think of a better place for children to learn and grow in their own individual ways.
Posted by a parent on 9/16/2013My stepdaughter attends MCS and absolutely loves it! She tells us all about the animals she sees and looks forward to seeing her friends. I can tell the staff truly cares about her. It is so nice to know she is in a safe happy environment.
Posted by a parent on 9/9/2013This school is horrible, the things I have witnessed are disturbing. They have numerous citations from the State of NJ Office of Licensing, please call the State to get the list about this or any daycare before bringing your child there.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to this school district specifically because of their great care for and success with students with disabilities. My grandson is enrolled in the Early Intervention program, and so far all staff and teachers have been AMAZING!My grandson had made remarkable progress in only a few weeks. Teachers, aides, therapists, and bus drivers have really taken an interest, are kind, caring, and engage in wonderful communucation.Parent Review1y ago - Cathedral Of Love Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHighly recommend! Our son, age 5, is currently in his 2nd year at MFS and we could not be happier. When he first started in PK (last year), we immediately felt welcomed by the wonderful administration/teachers/staff led by (the very approachable and involved) Head of School, Julia de la Torre. The overall school atmosphere is like something out of a fairytale. From pick up to drop off, we are greeted with smiling faces, kind students, friendly parents and an overall feeling of inclusion. Academically, we were impressed with the curriculum at the PK and K levels. In addition to his normal class schedule, our son has two special-subject areas each day; one being Coding (taught by the amazing Rachel Kaplan). All special areas are wonderful, but as I understand it, MFS is the only school in NJ to teach Coding (which is the future) at the PK and K levels. We are planning to start our younger son, age 2, into the PS program next year as he will be old enough to enroll (age 3) by September.Parent Review3mo ago - Montessori Academy - Delran

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a long-established, law abiding school. It is a safe, secure, healthy and wonderful peaceful campus. It is designed to allow for parental direct observations of the classrooms at work, and the Head of School is accessible for honest and straightforward, welcoming discussion.Other Review4mo ago - Moorestown Children's School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've been an MSOE parent for nine years and have so many wonderful things to say about the guides, environment, curriculum and results! My older son was part of the Elementary class for 6 years and the Adolescent class for 2 years. Beyond being happy and successful during his time at MSOE, he was able to fully spread his wings and learn all that he wished. Stretching your mind and abilities is encouraged by the fantastic MSOE guides. He just recently transitioned to our local public high school and is absolutely flourishing, both academically and socially.I always say the most important thing my son developed at MSOE is a strong sense of self. He's consistently demonstrated it at MSOE but when given the challenge of adapting to a new environment, this quality is shining strong and paving his way for an enjoyable high school experience. And that tendency to voluntarily support others in their quest for knowledge? Yes, it's common in Montessori students thanks to the interactive environment. My younger son is currently in the Elementary class and also excelling academically and developing well socially. He especially appreciates the independence that students can exercise in choosing their work. As he grows older and participates in the Montessori Model United Nations, he is clearly self-motivated to complete the assignments needed. I am amazed at how he's 11 years old and manages his timeline to complete the outlined work! And with this being his second year participating, he's been supporting others through the process during the school day.Throughout the growth of my two boys at MSOE, I've had constant, close contact with their guides and head of school. They've kept me apprised of their development, openly discussed challenges they were having, and partnered with me in finding the best path forward. It's been a truly collaborative experience and I am so appreciative of their genuine dedication to my children!Parent Review3mo ago
