Read what parents are saying about Looking Glass Children's CenterLGCC is the best! I've been sending my kids here since they were 3 months old. They are now 5 and 3 years old. Everyone here is thoughtful, caring, loving. My kids are extremely well educated because of them. My 5yo is in kindergarten and it's so worth my money to continue sending him here. He's learning at a 1st grade and up level. He's already writing in cursive, reading, adding/subtracting, learning about history, world cultures, science. They offer extracurricular activities such as computer classes, soccer, violin. They bring petting zoos on site and do other fun things for all the kids. The tuition is extremely affordable and the hours are convenient. I can't even express how much this place means to my family. I'll be so sad when the kids are graduated for this school. The people are truly one of a kind and so wonderful here. They are our extended family.
Posted by a parent on 12/17/2014Both my children have attended Looking Glass since they were three months old and it has been a second home for them and the teachers, staff and other children are like our extended family. I cannot speak highly enough about the love they show the children, the standard of care, the quality of education, the dedication to meeting each child's needs, and the respect and love they show everyone who is part of Looking Glass. Not only do they have an incredible curriculum, they also offer fantastic extras right at the school (Mandarin, music, soccer to name a few). We are moving out of the area and I am so sad to be leaving - this school is a true gem, the best school I have come across in all aspects, and I recommend it without any reservations!
Posted by a parent on 6/10/2013looking glass Childrens Center. This school is the best in the area. It is money well spent and a great investment. My child at 4 is doing additions in math and well on the way to reading.
Posted by a parent on 4/1/2013We sent our kids to Looking glass as recommended by our neighbors and we have been grateful they did. The school offers excellent education and the teachers mostly Filipinos are very professional and truly love what they are doing. All of them give utmost care to each children in their class almost like their own. The school director/owners are always there to ensure top quality education and safety of the kids. Our daughter learned to read at age 4 our 3 yr old son has pretty awesome math skills. They open from 6:30am to 6:30pm so it fits our schedule very well. Looking Glass Center is second to none!!!

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst of all their enrollment is so low (many kids drop out after joining for one year). So kids make friends for a year & then there is a completely different class next year with 90% new students. Second, most of the kids in the school from 2nd grade to 8th grade are students of staff members (who work as teachers in the school), and their class average is 5-6 kids in each grade (so do the math – most of those are kids of faculty). The school is run completely by the vice principal because the principal is a veteran who owns the school & at this time is not involved with anything. There are no extra-curricular activities apart from a track team which literally uses the side walk at the front of the building to train kids. The vice principal claimed when we joined the school that we teach two other languages, Spanish & Mandarin to all kids. Not even once in two years my son learnt both languages at the same time. It was either spanish or mandarin & sometimes none because if their mandarin or spanish teacher goes on leave, then they have no back-ups. They will teach Spanish, then randomly start Mandarin & keep on switching based on teacher’s availabilities. Here is when it all fell apart for us - We went on a one week trip and I informed the teachers in advance that we were going on vacation & when my son went back to school, they took 3 exams on the first day he was back in school. They are so incourateous that not only did they try to teach one week worth of material to my son in one day, but then also took 3 exams the same day. This is fundamentally wrong & truly messed up. Talk about giving your child mental stress in school. When I reached out to the teachers & Vice principal, they kept on saying – “oh look at his scores, he did well”. My whole feedback was that you should have sent the study guides home so I could prepare my son for the tests. When I talked directly to the vice principal, she cut me off while I was explaining the situation, was completely defensive & absolutely rude on the call and SHE HUNG UP ON ME. The vice principal had no interest in listening to me, or taking any feedback. Don’t waste your money & don’t sacrifice your child’s mental state by sending them to this school. FYI - Most other reviews on websites are given by staff members whose kids go to this school. Teachers are not good either.Parent Review11mo ago - Rock Brook School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not even hire teachers that are special ed certified. Their postings on ideed indicate that you may be "interested" in pursuing a certificate in special ed to apply. Really? Work hands-on with students without being certified. This is why this school is garbage and does not actually help any child make progress and succeed. How awful. They charge the sending district a fortune and a half and won't even hire certified teachers so that they could pay them less. DisGusTing!!!Parent Review7mo ago - St Anthony School
