... Read more staff have done so much to help my classmates and I become prepared for our futures. Not only are we prepared for college, but we are deeper in our faith and become well-rounded individuals. Both of my older sisters attended this school, and two of my cousins are actually in the school with me right now, and my family and I have noticed how much the school has improved over the past 10 years or so. Wow! in response to the AP parents, they obviously do not know how difficult that AP exam is and how more than 1/2 the students that take it do not get 4's and 5's but still receive college credit. Maybe these parents need to be a little bit more involved in their childs academic career and do some research!

Outstanding! For a school that does not receive public funding, it provides 'cutting edge' technology, college credits, excellent and superior academics, championship athletics; in a small community that promotes individual attention to their students. I agree with the AP comment. My child received all A's in honors math during her first three years and then took AP Calculus during her senior year in which she earned all A's. After a great academic year she did not pass the AP exam. Even worse she could not pass the basic skills test given to all

I am very disappointed in the fact that so many key figures have left the school in the past 2 years. It seems the administration does not value the faculty and staff that keep good families coming to Cardinal McCarrick. At one time there was a lot of service projects and community projects going on.
... Read more The past few years have yielded nothing in terms of Christian service. It's one thing to teach the Gospel, but another to show students how to live it. As for the AP classes, please ask what percentage of students actually pass the AP exam and receive college credit for the course. Read less

My daughter is a freshman, and is enjoying it. She has made new friends, loves her teachers and classes. She loves retelling the stories of the different saints as taught by Sister. Biblically she will learn a lot from this school and is already supprised that she has passed her first Math test with
... Read more a 93%, that's to tell you the quality of teachers. She has already joined the Drama team and wants to join the Science Club. The school has a lot of activities to keep the students involved as indicated by the calender we received. Our reason for sending her there was I love the fact that Religious Studies was for the entire four years and there was an outline what will be studied each semester, along with their discipline and academic programs. My child attends CMHS and is now a sophomore. The school has changed so much in the last year, it is just wonderful. After reading the old reviews, I felt it necessary to comment about all the wonderful new teachers, technology, sports and clubs CMHS has to offer. THe new young staff bring new insite
... Read more to the teaching of our children. The students are excited about learning. The Honors freshman program is wonderful. The science teacher brings wonderful idea to the kids and they feel excited about science a very difficult subject. The English, History, Math, Foreign language programs have all changed. Plus the fact that our children are getting a strong religious background makes this a well rounded school. Yes, the school was in flux for awhile. But with the new adminstration dicipline, academic and social acitives have reached a new high. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
