As a senior in an Ivy League university, I can tell you that my experiences at SWMHS haunt me to this day. Guidance -- atrocious, alienates kids, scares them into applying to colleges of their choice. Teachers -- mostly incompetent, uninterested in their own fields.

The SATs have 800 points for just essay type questions - what will our kids do - they don't have any practice in writing? More challenging work needs to be given to the students to bring to the level of other districts.

This school is overcrowded and undisciplined. Too many new teachers that don't know what they are doing make it an environment not condusive to learning. You can easily get lost in the crowd, and if you are not focused, you can forget about learning anything. There are too many fights and too many

Sayreville school is going down hill. Only a few teachers care about their kids and what is going on in the school. But their numbers are decling because they are retiring. Basically the kids can just about get away with anything in that school.

This school has to be one of the worst schools around. There are fights every other day and no one can seem to break them up in time, because a child always gets hurt. As a parent of an SWMHS graduate, I can attest to the fact that my one true regret is sending my child to SWMHS. Before I state my issues with the school, I will say that there are many wonderful extra-curricular activities-and advisers at the school. SWMHS also does have some great teachers (who should

Favoritism in the building hurts the potential of many students, there is no discipline and these factors allow a mediocre performance of the students. Also, the guidance department does not help in telling the students they should not apply to certain colleges. I am glad that my child is having success after college and grad school, despite what guidance and some teachers stated and believed. Read less

You're joking right? This school is horrible! I moved here from the city 20 odd years back. My hope was to start a family and give them the educational opportunities I never had.
