... Read more unimformative and I never knew about the NJ Stars program, which I would have been eligible for. The school does have tracking for different levels of students, but they do no do too much for the students who need extra help except send them to alternate school (which is a total waste of time). Overall, the school was okay, and I feel that it needs much improvement from when I was there. Read less

As a parent, I am truly disappointed. We pay heavy taxes in this district, and the level of education is poor. We had a particular problem with a language arts teacher-a woman who has been there forever, and she refused to take our calls or emails. that is so unprfessional F!

... Read more the schools in the district, the high school curriculum needs to be re-evaluated to better prepare students for their future educational endeavors. The administrative design for the district would benefit if a subject area supervisor was assigned for grades 7-12. As of now they cover all grades and I don't see much availability to oversee what is being taught at the high school. If a parent has a concern about curriculum or classroom management there is really no one to ask. I wonder why so many assistant principals are needed throughout the district? Time for a change? Sad to say, Monroe HS is not one of the strongest schools in Middlesex County. Kids are always getting into trouble, parents don't take responsibility for their child's actions and the majority of the administration is inept in correcting the problems of the students, instead just letting the faculty

Some strong ideas that may help are a character education initiative and a rewrite of the curriculum. Hopefully the leadership changes, as well as the district changes and new crop of students will allow MTHS to succeed. Read less

In addition to being very intelligent, one Social Studies teacher in the school who recently started has some of the best discipline I have ever seen. All teachers should follow his lead. Advanced Placement
