Much of the woes are due to the fact that Middlesex is a small town with a proportionally small budget. As everything in life however, it is what you make of it; with hard work, it is possible to attend a top college and start a meaningful career.

Being the parent of one current MHS student and one who graduated in 2003, I can honestly say I feel good about the decision to have them attend MHS. Because of the small size, teachers know their students and the students know each other well. There are a lot of clubs and activities but probably not

I have had teachers call me at home and at work, to tell me of concerns that my son was falling behind or that my daughter was short changing herself in applying for colleges. Where else but in a small school do you get that kind of individual attention? I feel that my children have done well and are prepared for the world and for college. Although I am not a parent in Middlesex, I recently graduated from Middlesex High School in 2004. I believe children receive a great education through the Middlesex public school district. There are many different clubs, sports and activities that teens can be apart of in the high school, the only thing that limits them to these extra curricular activites is their spare time. I was involved in many different things in high school that I never tried before, which were great experiences now that I look back. (Cheerleading for (football/basketball/wrestling), VP of my class, the spring musical, yearbook, Varsity Singers, and chorus. Being involved with these clubs introduced me to new people and kept me out of trouble! Read less

Advanced Placement

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
