I attended LB Junior High and Senior High Schools in the 1970's; my three children attended both schools, LB has the best curriculum, sports, students, teachers, staff in Monmouth County. We are the best. My son is a para-professional with the LB Board of Education, he's been at the JFS, Gregory, Lenna

ok no school is perfect, and lbms proves that. However, that doesnt mean that us students dont get a good education. A lot of people involved with the school, including parents and students, say that the school is going on a downward spiral and always will be, and then they usually put in something about

I am a student at Long Branch Middle School. I have gone to LBPS for a very long time now. I am in the honors programs and the sports programs and to be perfectly honest I do not find the school to be that great. Im mean dont get me wrong the school has its places it does very well in but its not enough.

In my opinion I do not belive the great wrestling team is worth risking your childs education on. As many people have heard our test scores have been low for a long time now. The LBMS has been identified by the State Department of Education as a school in crisis -- failing to make progress, etc. and liable to a state takeover if things continue their downward spiral. In response, the administration has gutted the extracurricular programs, the foreign language, programs, electives,

Hello I am a 7th grader at LBMS, accelerated classes and this is the best school I have ever been to. I've been to private schools, etc, but by far this is the best. My teachers are Mr.Hegerich, Ms.Hoyle, Ms.Wilson, Ms.Wuesthoff, Coach.Simon, and Ms.Stavola. They are all real great teachers and are all devoted to helping us if we need help. This is my favorite school. Also, all our schools are being rebuilt. The new LBMS opens in 2005-2006 (a $72million project). The highschool will have a state of the art football/rec field, and a swimming pool. This is my favorite school and I love it. Read less

I am sorry to say that when I moved to Long Branch back in 1997 it was a huge mistake! As another parent said. The lower grade schools are just fine. The middle school, now thats a whole different ball game! My daughter went from an honor student to almost failing the 6th grade. Ex: 1st marking period

Why is that not happening at LBMS? The kids have taken over this school 110%, with the fighting, foul mouths, dress codes not adhered to. Teachers are playing referee more than educating. Show up any day at the end of school and you will see for yourself! Or better yet check out the scores of these kids. We are way below state average in everything! Read less

LBMS is quite frankly the worst school in this district. The elementary schools are fantastic and deserve an A+ (well except for Anastasia). However, once the children attend LBMS expect the worst.
