The school has progressively improved under Sr. Carena' administration. To me this is the one of the best black schools with New Jersey. With the Sr. Carena, St. Leo/Sacred Heart hasa very bright future because she understands what it means to educate a black child. Sr. Carena is God sent for black children

This school is pretty ok. I graduated from there just this year. Their academics are pretty good. It also has a family like environment where everybody knows everybody. It was fun but theres a lot of discipline. Most of the teachers are pretty great though

I am so proud of my school.My principal Sr.Carena is great she treats us like her own children.She disciplines us very well for the future although most students thinks she's mean but i don't.The iss is really good but i don't think we have to pay.We have amazing teachers like Sr.Appolonia and Mr.Aliri.Keep

I find that this school is an excellent school. My child comes home with homework every day, he is learning so much from his age. At first I thaught that the level of work would be too much for him, but he is excelling at an amazing rate. His teacher goes out of her way to inform use what we need
... Read more to work with our child at home. The Vice Principal is one of the best I have seen in a long time. I love the way he greets the children by name when they come to school in the morning. To me that speaks volume about his character and how much he cares for his student. As for the Principal, she is also amazing, she humble, organized & down to earth and easy to talk to. Read less

At the first orientation. the Principal and V. Principal failed to gain control of the audience because of an increasing murmur from what were mostly parents. The meeting ended in a prayer which was shouted over everyone talking. A few teachers mentioned the fact that my child came from public school
... Read more in a disdainful manner which I had to address. The school does not have a guidance counselor and is unaware of Federal programs that students are entitled to. Parent participation is negligible. Detention is served at the same time students should be getting afterschool help. Therefore, the student does not get help if she/he is on detention. The new principal Sr. Carina Maris Okeke, DMMM is the best and most efficient principal I have met. She is new but she has turned the school around. The discipline is intact, the new teacher are awesome and the environment is very safe and homey for kids. My child love the school especially the principal

Advanced Placement
