The teachers have a new science curriculum that even they barely know. ... Read more and teaching staff, initiated dialog with the princpal and was one of the first parents along with my husband to attend the kindergarten open house held last May. Does the school have challenges with resources and crowding - yes it does, but it also has great people that are committed to the education and well being of the students of Freehold Boro. We were extremely impressed with the principal in particular who gave evidence that he not only enjoys his job but is working so hard to do much with the resources afforded him. Read less

I grew up in the boro, i love the town but in the past couple of years im becoming unhappy. I attended the schools in the boro during the chitwood/rev days, it was better then. My 4th grader has a learing problem and i dont think shes getting the help she needs, what is happening, my kids education/future is on the line and with having to work non-stop its hard on the parents too, we work so hard and pay into so much but i feel like nothing is coming out of the money that is taken, there is nothing for the working class in this state, even a good education.Sick-of-it. Their academic programs I believe are adequate. However this school has a serious issue with overcrowdness that is hurting the children s academically, some classes have in excess of 30 kids in them.

As a parent I am no longer happy with the Freehold Boro School District. The school is very overcrowded and the bathrooms are not supplied with handsoap ( health issue).After all the money spent on fixing up the school still no working air conditioning for the students(only the offices).The biggest complaint
... Read more is the new setup with the schedules. Gym,Spanish,Art only for three months each. Gym should be offered to all children at least once a week all year, and they wonder why more children are obese. Read less

Park Avenue Elementary school is a true gem of a school. From the staff, administration and faculty to the students, parents and PTO...it is a perfect fit. The extracurricular opportunities are great, they have a good handle on special education as well as gifted children. I hav two children in PAE currently

The person who wrote this review has no idea what is happening in our school system. This person should attend our Board of Ed meetings to see examples of our advanced technology in our three schools and also get copies of our latest test scores to see the magnificent increase our students have had
... Read more at all levels. We are a multi-cultural diverse community and our students benefit greatly from a lack of bias. We provide the best education for our students within our financial means. Our students are consistently winning prizes and grants on the local, county, state and national level. Money spent on taxes to support our schools is well spent. Read less

I'm a Boro resident with a 13 month old and very concerned with the quality of the Boro school system. After visiting this website and reviewing the tests scores of the Park Avenue school (my child with have to attend), I'm thinking of moving out of the Boro! I have been here 7 years and seen taxes increase

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
