BCHS has its faults as does any other high school but the truth of the matter is if students want to do well they will& the teachers will be more than willing to help. The biggest problem is the fact that there are people like the ones leaving negative comments refusing to take responsibility for their own actions as well as their kids. Read less

I am a person who worked in this school and seen both the compassionate & rude teachers it holds! I do believe in change but I also believe you must embrace change to move forward! If this school does not hire 'Freedom Writer' style of teachers who have passion and don't quit or exchange ugly for ugly

My junior daughter takes AP courses, plays two varsity sports and scored highly on the SATs. I have no worries about her in college. My 7th grade son has trouble due to his current immaturity. The school expects a lot and has a tendency to write off poor achievers, so it's our job to help him. Fine.

I was a former student and now a parent to an 11th grade student. School have not change over the last 20 years, still the same. Classes are dull and teachers don't care. The only thing going for the school is the Matching Band with Director David May. Stay away from this school or prepare to play

I see the average rating for this school is a 3 to 4. Wow that's a bit high. I was a former student and now a parent of a child in the highschool. I have friends and family in the highschool throughout the last 15 years.....nothing have change.....teachers don't care and leadership from upper managerment

I wouldn't be where I am today without the help and support of the Band and its memebers. Thanks Mr. Bear and Mr. May. I would rate this HighSchool now compare to others in the County the wrost 5 in the county. In fact, I am moving to another town just to get away from this school systems. I attended Burlington City HS and my twin brothers are currently attending. I did well and so are my brothers. I am now a teacher in the district and think that is is wonderful. It is all about the effort you put into it. If your child wants to learn, he or she will learn.

My son graduated from BCHS last year. If it wasn't for the music program I don't know where he would be. He struggles in college because of his poor high school education. Most of the teachers don't care about the students and give a good grade if the student show's up and hands in the work. There

I attended BCHS and have watched it over the past ten years. There are 'some' caring faculty members on the pay roll; however, I was sad to see the science dept. lose good people. Your child will excel at BCHS if you champion them through the Math and Science departments. The self motivated will thrive.

Advanced Placement
