... Read more proven innocent. I have three children who have attended BMHS, one in AP classes who thrived in small classes with caring teachers who were always available. The second who is a regular Ed. student in college prep classes, he was just a number and pushed like cattle through a large crowded school system. The youngest needed special ed. help and we had to literally fight district every year in order to get him the help he needed. It's a shame that a NJ public school district would try to deny children a solid education. Read less

My daughter is a recent graduate of Brick Memorial High School. I feel she received an excellent education and she is going on to a highly selective four year college. She was offered many outside scholarships and this is partly attributed to the education she received at Brick Memorial. She took honors

BTMHS is a great school. My son is a Sophomore and he is an honor student and an athlete. I feel that it isn't all up to the school it is also up to the parents and the student to make a school work for them. My son is in an Advance Placement class this year and it is honestly like a College Course.

I have been grateful to have my son(graduating this year) in a school where the focus is on education. The teachers are never to busy to speak to the parent, or give the child extra help when needed. It's a pleasure when you call or go to the school and you barely get the first name of the child out

This school is a joke!There is so many children and I feel its very easy for a student to get overlooked. Teachers dont go the extra mile to help. Parents are not contacted by the teachers when a student is starting to have problems. The school doent even contact you when your child is absent.

I was shocked at the scores given here.Both of my kids attended,with the last being a Senior in 2007.I have found BMHS to be a safe and quality learning environment.The teachers are more than fair and there is a surplus of gifted teachers.Both kids are going onto top colleges and their experiences here

Read more attributed to that.The sports are tough but good and the band is wonderful.The drama dept was equally good.I have found all my interactions with the school staff to be above average.I was pleased with the experience here and would have fought to not send my kids to Brick Township High.They have some problems over there.I think the student body here,as a whole,is a typical representation of the population for both college and the real world.Of course it's HS & that means drama,drama,drama but that's normal,we all had that.I've never been concerned about safety.1 boy 1 girl Read less

Great school with great teachers, athletic programs are very good as well as extracurricular activities. Parent involvement is high in athletic programs. Plus Brick is a very safe city to live as it is in the top 5 safest cities in the nation.

The school system's main focus is spending money. Not education. The guidance staff is disconnected and disinterested. Teachers hardly 'go the mile' nevermind the 'extra mile. The is a buracracy requiring an extraordinary number of Assistant VP's. The are all extremely hostile and confrontational
... Read more when it comes to discussing teachers. There immediate seponse is to attachk and defend thier own in lieu of getting to the bottom of an issue. Discipline is sorely lacking in this 'we have to feel good' environment. The level of disrespect from the students is apalling. Spend a few minutes in the halls and observe the activities and listen to the language, it's disgraceful. In Brick, it's all about great new digs and the heck with the students. Read less

School's budget usually never passes, so the town is limiting children on what they can do. The extra-currics are great for what the school has, and the new principal is doing an excellent job by allowing certain programs and policies to pass, when they havent in the past.

Advanced Placement
