Read what parents are saying about Rising Star Christian AcademyThe school is excellent! The 1-star rating was from a parent who was banned from the school due to her behavior....my child and I had an extremely positive experience at the school. The director, her family, and staff are superb.

I love, love, love Rising Star Christian Academy. I am the Director, but my 3 sons all graduated from Rising Star Christian Academy. They had no problems being accepted into the schools of their choice, as a matter of fact, they had wonderful offers from several schools like: Southeastern Theological Baptist Seminary, Barton University, Chowan University, Mars Hill University, William Peace University, Campbell University, etc. We strive to teach our students from infants to high schoolers about the love of Jesus and how the Word of God instructs us to live our lives. Our 3rd-12th grade students love doing community outreach such as: making infinity scarves to pass out to the homeless, take coffee to the homeless, assisted living partnerships, etc. Also, we have a strong extracurricular program for our students. Academics, 4-H Clubs, and P.E. are the focus Monday through Thursday, and each Friday, our students enjoy cycling, golf, tennis, pickleball, and more through our local partnerships with Brevofield Golf, Pascal Golf, The First Tee Golf, Millbrook Exchange Tennis, Flaherty Park tennis and pickleball, and greenway cycling made possible by ReCYCLEry NC donating bikes to our students. We bring in outside resources for our younger students such as: Wake County Bookmobile, Wake Forest Fire Department, Wake Forest Polic Department, dentists, optometrists, The First Tee golf, and many more resources for their growth and enjoyment. The curriculum for all of our students is faith-based and interactive. We strive to understand the learning style of each child and encourage them to grow from where they are. We encourage each student to trust God and trust who they are in Christ Jesus. As you know, some people are unreasonable and may post negative reviews out of anger, but come and check us out for yourself. We are confident you will love what God is doing here through our staff, students, and volunteers.
Posted by a principal on 1/13/2016Faith based school with very caring staff. My son has been attending for years and loves it there. We love the family orientated environment.
Posted by a parent on 12/12/2015Does not do the activities that they say they are doing. Director very defensive and doesn't try to communicate with parents effectively.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience with this school has been horrible! My daughter has been going to this school since preschool up till third grade. I had to remove my daughter from the school after so many poor communication problems with 3 of the teachers and the head principal who seem to only care about her image as the principal rather than the concerns of the students and parents. Based on the horrible advice and several different conversations about my daughter’s tragic experiences I’ve had with the main principal. I realize I was getting nowhere in hopes of A change. My daughter would come home almost every day complaining about how she was being bullied and treated unfairly at that school.Parent Review2mo ago - Heritage Elementary

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was our first year at Forest pines drive elementary. And I can honestly say my daughter has flourished. Everyone from the front office, to her teacher, support staff and even the custodians genuinely care about these children and engage with the parents. I highly recommend if you live in this area that you would be blessed with being able to be zoned for the school.Parent Review11mo ago - North Forest Pines Elementary

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been a part of CASA since his kindergarten days, and he is currently in the third grade. I made the choice to enroll him in this school because he is an incredibly high-energy child, and I was drawn to the idea of him being able to progress through his schoolwork at his own pace, rather than everyone adhering to a fixed lesson plan.My son faced some challenges in reading, particularly during his second-grade year. However, his teacher was incredibly proactive in addressing this. Before I even had a chance to express my concerns, she had already placed him in an additional reading group and provided one-on-one support to help him catch up to grade level.Every day, my son comes home excitedly recounting his favorite moments from school, often highlighting the "great lesson" he had that day, like the one about volcanoes. His enthusiasm for learning is truly nurtured at CASA, and he genuinely loves attending this school. One aspect of CASA that I deeply appreciate is that the teachers do not micromanage the students. Instead, they empower them to be self-sufficient and take responsibility for their own work. This approach is invaluable in teaching our children important life skills and values. In my opinion, CASA is providing a valuable service by instilling these essential morals and values in today's youth. I am grateful for the positive impact it has had on my son's education and personal development.Parent Review7mo ago - St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School
