N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school no longer exists as a public school, as it was combined with the upper elementary grades in a new facility. It was closed in December 2020, and its students moved to the new Southern Pines Elementary School at 1015 S. Carlisle Street. The former primary school has been repurposed as a community center.Parent Review1y ago - Sandhills Classical Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the kind of school that caters to the kids who fit the perfect mold of what they want the school to be: disciplined, smart, and from wealthy families. If you child has any sort of behavioral issues, is behind in any subject, or is not the perfect student... this isn't the school for you. As far as the educators, there is extremely little professional development. People always hate on public schools in Moore County, but at least educators in these schools are required to do a multitude of ongoing education and professional development to keep teachers in the loop of best theories and practices. O'Neal has very little of that. I felt like I went back in time when I taught there. The facilities are amazing - large classrooms, nice gyms, a pool, etc. But do not confuse the school's physical appearance for the quality of educators and education your student will receive. Furthermore, the O'Neal school has a higher teacher turnover rate than it should, and there is a reason for that. So many wonderful educators have left O'Neal on their own accord for greener pastures. As far as bullying, I was personally a victim of bullying myself, as an educator, from the administration itself. How can they protect students if they can treat their own educators in such a manner? If this is the kind of school you want to support, so your child and your family can have that "status" then go for it, but hope your child fits the perfect mold so he or she is not treated unfairly, neglected in their learning, or even ostracized.Teacher Review2mo ago - Episcopal Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe started at EDS Kindergarten year & are sadly moving states with my son finishing his 2nd grade year. I honestly can not say enough amazing things about this school, it is truly such a gem. Dr. Connett has done the best job shaping the school into such a nurturing and engaging environment for the kids. If you are looking for an elementary school in the area I can guarantee you this is the best one!Parent Review1y ago - St. John Paul II Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the best decisions we've made is to move our son to SCCS. He's getting a great educational experience and being challenged in the best way. They do a good job of balancing academics and socialization. The curriculum is structured, from a Biblical perspective, and covers many subjects that many elementary public schools do not (e.g. extensive phonics, grammar, sentence structure, ancient world history, and more). The teachers keep close communication with their student's parents at all times to address any concerns or just share a positive report. The school is growing rapidly and has a stellar reputation in the community. We highly recommend SCCS!Other Review2y ago - McDeeds Creek Elementary

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to be a student last year i was Here for two years and those two years were not the best I’ve had but they were okay. The social structure was great and so were the teachers but they didn’t seem to care about the school but they liked the kids from how it looked. The food was not good plus this one time someone spilled all of their food and no one helped and I hated the principals daughter’s.Other Review4mo ago - Sandhills Classical Christian School Inc.
