My daughter loves going to school! She excels in her classes, she feels challenged but not overwhelmed. The teachers have made themselves available for additional help or to answer questions on a DAILY basis. My daughter says the kids here are nicer and better behaved than at her previous school,

My children entered EWA from a private school environment. What we learned from the private school is 'show us the money', don't bother trying to be involved in the classroom--we'll take care of your child, and if your child needs additional academic help learning a concept -- that is what 'tutors'

There is no cost, no 'class conflicts' because all of the children wear the same uniforms....parent involvement is welcomed and if your child needs help, the teacher's are wonderful to offer it. What a blessing to be able to send my children to the same school from Kindergarten through 12th grade! No concerns of reassignments or children at separate schools or schedules! ... Read more fact that EWA is a free public charter school is amazing. The cost of uniforms is a drop in the bucket compared to what you would pay elsewhere to attend a private college prep k-12 school. Discipline issues are handled promptly and are not tolerated. While the teachers are loving, kind and patient persistant classroom disruptions are not an option at EWA. My children have received afterschool academy services for EOG prep, math tutoring, etc. All of these services are offered by their teachers at no cost....find that somewhere else! EWA = Great! I am a student at East Wake Academy and have been here for nine years. This school is overall pretty good. My teachers are great and I feel safe here. We do have our share of problems here but every school does. This is a good school and I will be staying here until I graduate.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
