... Read more times and I am amazed to see how well behaved the children are. Children differing in their ability levels are instructed according to what they need. Every minute at this school is used for learning. Teachers go beyond the curriculum to teach children. I am just amazed to see how much they have learned in such a short time. Most of the children are ahead of their grade level. I really support this school and would urge parents to try it out. Read less

Our child has just completed his first year at Thales -Wake Forest. The school, teachers and communication have far exceeded our expectations! Our child THRIVES at Thales-encouraged to ask questions and receives accolades for asking questions (not sent home with a note indicating he was debating and "arguing" and should just sit and listen) . We have concerns regarding misguided information in the communities that Thales DI method is for those with severe learning disabilities. It could not be further from the truth! Our son is thriving as are so many more in the school for a tuition that is more than reasonable , After Care Program cost which is more than reasonable and qualified and CARING staff ( from the administrative assistant to the principle and all in between) with EXCELLENT communication skills that treat each child like the individuals they are with regards to academia and beyond. ... Read more rating, instead of the poor ratings based on your political ideology? As a parent who has two students at the school, the curriculum is great and the program has exceeded my expectations. There is a reasonable disciplinary program enforced that keeps class room distractions to a minimum. I would rate my children s teachers as good or excellent (especially the kindergarten teachers). They are very responsive to e-mails to address my questions and concerns. The after school program offers a variety of activities for the kids and allows time for the students to complete their homework. Overall, I am very pleased with Thales Academy in Wake Forest. Thales Academy Wake Forest is an excellent school with very caring teachers and a curriculem that WORKS! My son is doing very well there and I love that he can be in a 5th grade math class when he is in 4th grade! They teach the kids according to their levels and my son needed that challenge. ... Read more in this school every week and I see happy kids, happy teachers, and a very happy and loving principal. The principal, Mrs. Lambert, knew my name and my sons name on the 3rd day we were at the school. She truly gets to know the kids and she is in that carpool line almost every morning and afternoon ready to greet you and your child. Also...my son has participated in several of the after-school activities, like chess, chorus, odyssey of the mind, and art class. Love love love this school! Read less

Both my husband and I (and our two children) love this schools' great classical curriculum, as well as its respectful, skilled and supportive teachers! We also like the after-school enrichment activities (such as French, soccer, chorus, to name a few!). Teachers are motivated to and equipped to teach!

If you're looking for a school with a great sports program or extensive extracurricular activities, this is not the school for you. The Wake Forest Thales Academy middle school has a problem with bullies. We had to pull out daughter out of the school because of problems with a violent bully that the school refused to handle. The school also assigns excessive homework, thereby, denying the kids a social life. There are no sports,

I would have loved to get into Franklins academy because of free tution but having the kids at Thales makes me know that they are getting just as good an education as they would at Franklin Academy. ... Read more my days easy at work. Eveyone at school is so nice and loving. Working parents have before and aftercare if needed, Chess Club, homework club, Glee, Arts and Science clubs. Take time to review curiculum-dont be scared they will learn it all teachers are fantastic-energetic and are super patient. Take time to sit in for Ms.Hinelines reading class- you will be amazed how she does it- kids read and pronounce the sounds- make it fun but - acurate and while in disciplined manner- still so much fun for kids- they just absorb her information!
