Our 3 children are having another amazing year at Salisbury Academy. This has been the best academic choice in Rowan County for keeping our children challenged, engaged, and excited about learning. All the reviews posted here were not based on 2008. The school is fine if your child starts here in Kindergarten or 1st grade and is trained to have perfect behavior from the start. The curriculum is unchallenging and way too easy, and most of the teachers do not utilize any creativity in the classroom. Projects are very boring for the most part. I am so happy to have a school like this in Salisbury. What a wonderful educational environment! My children were happy, involved and academically challenged. The best part of all this is that they carried these things over to high school and then college - one of them earned an academic scholarship.

Salisbury Academy had been the best experience for my son. SA's curriculum revolves around encouraging each student to learn, at his or her own pace, and with teachers who are patient and eager to guide each student on a personal level. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
