We Love it at the Rock....a military town w/a family togetherness. The school loves our kids, they work together to get things done. Mrs Mimms is amazing and cares alot about our children. The town is small w/family things to do...a great rec center,a super great walking path, a beautiful dam and swimming

My daughter is in second grade at Rockfish. THis is the first year that she has actually wanted to go to school. We are a military family and this is her 4th school to attend. My child went to Rockfish for two years. During that time, she enjoyed every single day that she spent with her energetic and heartfelt teachers. I was proud to have a child so enthusiastic about going to school and I owe it all to her past teachers. If there was anything that I think could be changed
... Read more about this school would be it's discipline plan and the amount of extracurricular activities. The nation may be test driven, but out children need guidance and other activities at school to help them learn social skills. Read less

The school as a hole is not bad. The kinder. teachers could be nicer. I have witnessed several times the teachers telling the students to 'shut up'. The office staff is not friendly at all and always seems rushed. Hopefully with the new principle mrs mimms, things will change.

My daughter has been going to rockfish since kidnergarten, and has done well academically until this year. She is in 3rd grade and is failing in everything. Read more teacher this year is not friendly at all, nor are the two women that work in the office, they would rather snub you than be the professional people in the jobs they hold than speak to you.I hope every year they might bust out and actually greet me with a smile but am disappointed every year. Its a real shame, my ex-husband and i are looking at other schools.The parents deserve better treatment from your office staff, they are a major turn off from this school. Read less

Rockfish has bloomed! Our new principle is very involved....and visable! The new teachers and their ideas have been tremendously welcomed! Our new addition will open soon thus giving us more room to learn. Rockfish is the main reason families move to this area.....I would have to give them a thumbs up!

... Read more principal I was not impressed with. The teachers we have had have been wonderful, helping our children become the best students they can be. I have seen many of these teachers go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure children are being taught in a way that fits them. I have also seen teachers give their students encouragement, love, and the occasional push. So far, thumbs up. The wonderful women in the office are friendly, as well as ferocious when it comes to the welfare of their students! Read less

Advanced Placement
