I love AWE and its staff.. Granted as a parent you aren't always going to like everything and everybody that goes on everywhere. Am I always happy at home with my husband or children? No. Am I always a satisfied customer at every stop I make? No... I think change is hard for some people to accept,

How convenient CAN it be at dismissal when you don't have any school buses and at least half of the children are car riders? Other schools have the same car rider issue, the only difference is they don't have as many walkers as AWE. I think Mrs Leffler does a wonderful job and is always pleasant to deal with. We bought our home specifically because of AWE due to everything positive and up until this year, we would have given AWE rave reviews. Sadly, there seems to have been a paradigm shift from a school that was welcoming and felt like 'family' to that of a very strict almost 'reform school' atmosphere.

Read more Now, the principal remains in her position however has always maintained a 'hands off' approach (read completely disinterested in individual student matters) and it was always the previous vice-principal, Mr Quinn who seemed to be the fiber that held the school together and encouraged the family spirit of the school. His successor is largely aloof and arrogant and at times very condescending and adversarial. Arrival and dismissal are hugely disorganized yet instead of looking internally for new methods, new policies only serve to inconvienience families further. This could again be a great school ifthey get their act together. Read less

I was in constant contact with his teacher and the staff.
