My son is in first grade at this school. I am not going to say it is perfect and that I have no complaints, however, the current principal that has been there for a year and a half is fantastic. He handles himself very professionally in every situation I've seen him in so far. He shows a genuine interest

There's always room for improvement but I feel comfortable putting him in their care for the day. This county does expect a lot out of kindergarten and first graders. Overall we have had an ok experience at this school. The principal is not as supportive of the parents as I would like to see. She will be the first to tell you that 'bad things never happen when she is in the classrooms.' Go Figure.. of course not. The school has an overcrowding problem. The wilson

My fourth grader is an A student and is easily overlooked because he is quiet and does what he is asked to with out a fuss. The academically gifted program leaves much to be desired although the teacher is awesome. If choosing a school in Wilson I would take a good look at the two other highly rated options before settling on New Hope. Read less
