I love learning but when I decided to take higher level classes in order to challenge myself, I did not find the atmosphere that I wished. The students

If there's anything different about the bullying atmosphere at the academy, it isn't that it doesn't exist, it is that the smarter/"nerdy" kids are the ones doing the bullying. There's a horrible feeling of hierarchy and those students are the ones that the teachers admire the most. It all just makes you feel so stupid and like you don't belong, everyone is so condescending (even the teachers). My daughter enrolled in the Fayetteville Academy after a year at Jack Britt HS and Massey Hill Classical, where she had struggled. The Academy is the antithesis: excellent, no-excuses, no-compromise academic standards and instruction, an environment of achievement, and very few 'delinquent' pressures. The tuition is the most reasonable in the entire Southern US for the education you and your kids are getting. I kick myself for not enrolling both my children here full time! Read less
