I have a daughter there, she is a sophmore her job is to go to school prepared to learn my job is to make sure she is prepared.This is not the teachers responsibility so when we make statements about the teacher not doing a 100% job maybe it is our children and ourselves we should check! We buy a desk, that people sit at all day and do nothing but watch cameras, which are by the way, right next to them, and then we hire another security guard who sits in a chair all day. I am a student at Hazelwood Central. Fortuantely I am one of the more disciplined students and I do not think it is the schools fault. The students behavior are very immature and they never do what they are told. Basically they think they are grown and don't have to listen to anyone but their parents.
... Read more Some of them don't even do that. Kids are fighting over the silliest things and they seem to think what they are doing is ok. It's their lack of wanting to learn. Some well behaved students have to suffer from other students behavior. The shcool is doing the best they can. It's the children to are not. ... Read more sat in a class and a Professor asked, 'Do you remember reading this book in high school?' or 'Do you remember learning about this person in high school?' I always have to raise my hand and say, 'no' and ask my Professor and students around me to summarize the book for me or tell me the background about the person being discussed. It makes me feel ashamed that I attended Hazelwood Central High and I feel as if I have somewhat been cheated out of a proper education. Read less

Advanced Placement
