... Read more child must be also. The teachers each have cell phones, but do not use them to contact you regarding issues concerning your child or their grades. There are monthly grade sheets, but you do not know about missing assignments until they come out. By then, it is too late to make up any work. Emails go unanswered. The administrator is a good man, but he is not a principal. He is there to assure that the charter school continues to receive the needed monies, not to lead the teachers or the students. Read less

... Read more the grades, the teachers became less and less responsive. We finally left the school and have found the local middle school much better suited to my child's needs. I would say it's worth a try if your child is not flourishing in a large school, but only about one-quarter to one-third of all students who start here in the sixth grade actually stay at the school through 12th grade. That's a pretty big drop out rate. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
