Lourdes is an excellent school. Often overlooked are the religion courses. My child was most challenged in these couses, especially her senior values and service class. Lourdes is a great school, and tigh-knit community. Almost everyone knows each other by name which provides a good enviorment. Teachers are very willing to help students out, and the modular schedule is a really good preparation for college.

Lourdes is very homogeneous. Teachers are not always certified. Sports are emphasized.

The quality of education at Lourdes is about equal to the public schools in Rochester with the exception that the public schools have more advanced classes for high achievers. Safe environment. The academic programs at Lourdes High School are challenging and effective but limited. Only a handful of AP classes are available to students. Lourdes is a safe, healthy enviorment to spend four years of your life. I have enjoyed my teachers, and wouldn't attend any other school. Lourdes faculty interacts with their students, and knows them by name. I often am stopped in the hallway by a teacher, and have them say hello and ask how I am doing. ...  Read more
