I'm a student there, and I love this school, because everyone is friendly. No one tells you to go away, or is a jerk to you. Just have your kid shadow there, you'll see! I love my teachers, who will always have time to sit by me and have a one on one class session and help me if i'm having trouble

There's no 'hand-holding,' as the student is expected to take responsibility (like college), but the teachers are eager, caring, sincere, understanding, and highly qualified. Plus, we love the environment where Christ can be discussed openly. Parental involvement is not only encouraged, it is required. The only real downside we found was a sense of 'disconnect' from other parents at first. However, our student has made so many friends we can't keep up with them all. My wife and I owe a deep debt of gratitude to the inspired and caring teachers, to the administration and board for their vision, and the other parents and students that truly make MA a very special place. I don't know if our son will ever know how Minnehaha has changed his life, but my wife and I do. We didn't find the school interested or supportive in determining ways to make it more affordable or accessible for our family so I'm glad to hear it was not this way for everybody. ... Read more season and played in the orchestra. There was so much parental involvement and my classmate's parents were so caring, it felt like a big extended family. Their Christian faith was beautifully displayed, and that combined with Bible classes, eventually helped lead me to my own faith. If you want your children to have powerful, positive influences your chances are MUCH better here. Minnehaha was a light in my life. Most high schools really aren't like that. ... Read more they offer many sports all year around. The kids are all friendly and supportive and love to help you when you are in need. They have tudors and others after school to help you also. They have a very good music program for lower, middle, and high school they start to use satb in seventh grade and learn to find pitch with there changing voices with Mrs. Taylor. This is a great school with very strong academic programs. Kids are being treated with care, love, and respect. The quality of teachers is top notch. In addition to academic excellence, they stress on music, art, and sports very much. The lower school has its own ice-skating arena and football field

The school is loaded with state-of-the-art teaching tools and facilities. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
Gifted and Talented
A school system may identify 10% to 15% or more of its student population as gifted and talented. A brief description of each area of giftedness or talent as defined by the Office of Gifted and Talented:

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
