I think they do focus heavily on music, which isn't a bad thing, but academics should be the priority. And because this is a small town there is sooo much lacking in good quality programs for the kids. Language classes should be part of the the curriculum from elementary on up! I implore you to truly read the reviews on this and all of the Tecumseh schools. If you can read a review written by a student, and it is cohesive and readable, then it is a school you would want to send your child to. urgh... what a joke. the teaches are great, no disrespect there. i do love them. but we had a security gaurd on a power trip when i was in 8th grade. he just thought that he was the best thing ever. I am much happier in the highschool. but there are still alot of hateful people who enjoy complaining.

TMS has been a great experience for my daughter. The teacher's are great and really have the student's best interest at heart. It is not the teacher's that pose a problem to this community, but the parent's who are unwilling to buckle down and teach their children how to be respectful young adults.

Tecumseh Middle School has Teachers that are willing to reach for the stars if it was in the interest of the student. The music,art,and sports programs are great. ... Read more understand something.Most of the staff is freindly and nice.The school try to give each student the chance to give their imput. The parent involvement is great. The parents are involved in every step of their childs education. The school is very high. Most students are very active in at least one sport or after school activity's.The teacher's help with student's problem's and try to help them get their grade's up. The student's are treated with much respect and are given responsibility. If you are looking for a better school then your current school please check out Tecumseh Public School's. Read less

My oldest childs fifth grade experience was pretty awful and I still kick myself for not demanding that he be moved. Her classroom was in chaos and the students had no respect for her. ... Read more excellent. This team of teachers related well to the students and parents and it was obvious that they enjoyed teaching. They ran a tight ship and the kids respected them for that. Advanced Placement
