I am seeing so many great reviews and I completely agree. I witnessed a parent of a child in my daughters class complaining about a teacher that thought she was blaming her son for his poor grades and that he was a 'GOOD' kid. I though odd this teacher has been awesome for my kid. I know other mothers

It's sad cause this mother had allready admited her kid had problems in other schools. Come on really it's the teacher? Uh no. It's the kid. This is the school if you want to be a hands on parent. Go to the meetings, feild trips it is family oriented and will step up helping struggling students. Read less

Summit is a disappointment. Your child will be behind if they go to this school. They will blame your child for poor grades. I approached the prinicpal and the teachers and was truely upset over the whole experience. I''ve observed classroom and big difference between a public school and a charter
... Read more school. They hardly have homework. Esp. if they say your child is behind you think they would send more work home to help get them caught up but, they don't. The parents that have children in this school need to spend some time in the classroom. I was told that new teachers that are there are not held to the same standards as other teachers - so your child will suffer and my child did. Please for your child's education do not send them to this school. Read less

As we leave Summit Academy, the best testimony I can give, regarding quality of education at Summit, is in the fact both of my kids (who attended Summit for 4 years) have been placed in honors classes a year above their grade level as they transfer back to our local schools. My older daughter entered

I do not recommend this school. Seems like they are to focused on everything else other than educating the kids. Seems to be more of a daycare or club the a place of education. My girls will not be returning.

I originally posted a great review on this school right when my daughter changed schools due to moving to northern Oakland county. Almost immediately after her starting her new school, I realized how bad of a choice it was to place in her in Summit Academy Schools, she was extremely far behind compared

The teachers at Summit were very kind and compassionate but I think they were to focused on other things rather than actually educating our children properly. Thankfully I think we got her out just in time as she is now doing wonderfully in school and has caught up to her peers. As a mom of 3 children, I would highly reccomend against placing your child in Summit school system, I believe it to be a big mistake....unless of course you want you child behind academically. My Kids were left behind. Big disappointment. Now my kids have to play the catch up game. They spend to much time trying to figure out how to teach the kids. Always a different way. My kids were so lost and confused all the time. Seems they got left behind. All 4 of them.

When I enrolled my children in this school it was told to me how 'outstanding' they were a how my children were going to be above other children with the education they would get here. All that turned out wrong. Yes they had laptops. But it takes more then just giving a child a lap top. Yes fun for the

The high school has been a huge disappointment. Every year there is a new theory on how to get the kids to learn. The teachers should teach until the students get it. We have been there since kindergarten and are looking to change.
