AGS has been a wonderful for my child. The new principal is amazing, and she knows each and every student. I was so worried, but the teachers care and work hard to make sure she is successful!

This is 2009 and the school has changed. A lot. I am a student there. I would rather be anywhere else. Most of the teachers are bad!!! I hate it. Send your kid to St.Johns. I wish my parents would have.

I am a former student to AGS middle school and I loved it. I loved all the teachers and I made friends with most of them. I enjoyed my experience there. Unfortunaltly I transferred out in my 8th grade year to Carman-Ainsworth High School.

Awesome school all around. Wonderful principal who connects with the kids. Teachers that know how to make a class fun to learn. My child is now excited about school since starting here and her grades are improving.

MEAP* Test Scores

Grade Level:

Test Year: 2013
Andrew G. Schmidt Middle School
Fenton Area Public Schools
* In 2012-2013 Michigan used the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading and writing; in grades 5 and 8 in science; and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies. The MEAP is a standards-based test, which measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Michigan. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Michigan State Board of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the MEAP test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
