As a former student, I transferred to John Bapst and was amazed how much better everything was. The staff, the students, the quality of education. I was there briefly, but greatly miss them all. They are a model for every school. If I ever have kids, that's where they're going.

I recently graduated from John Bapst and now attend college. I never realized how different John Bapst was in comparison with other educational systems until I came to college, where my professors seem to teach sloppily and illogically compared to my educators at John Bapst, and many of my peers seem

The students respect their teachers and the teachers respect their students and are willing to help each student until he/she succeeds. Also, at Bapst it's cool to be involved in everything; cliques and fights are virtually non-existent because the students who are star atheletes are the same ones playing an instrument or acting on stage. John Bapst gives students the workload they need in order to prepare them for the best colleges out there, and it may seem like a lot of hard work, but it's definitely worth it! Read less

I'm a sophomore at Bapst and I love it. All the teachers care and are there to help. I made so many new friends my freshman year and they've helped me grow. My two daughters attended JB and graduated recently. They both went on to college (one currently and senior and another freshman). They both remarked how easy college was after attending JB. My child loves this school! It's respected as a place where college preparation is the first priority and extracurricular activities follow. There is a beautiful hall for concerts and dances, but no fields or gym for sports, which hampers those programs (they do have an old 'dungeon-style' gym which

If your child is an athlete, be prepared to run them all over the city to borrowed arenas and fields. The teachers and staff are very good overall. We found a few teachers that are unimaginative and prickly. But they're from an era that has passed them by and will be gone soon enough. The best thing about Bapst is the tolerance the students show for one another. It's a great atmosphere in which to learn. The best of area high schools. Read less

My oldest daughter saw many fights at her previous High School, and is so glad that she does not have to deal with that here.
