Overall, I've been pleased with the changes.

This is a wonderful school and feels like a hidden gem in the DCPS system. Also has Pre-K 3 and 4 along with free before and aftercare.

This school is a joke. As a teacher of your thinking about working here, LOOK ELSEWHERE. There’s the inner circle clique of the higher up administrative that stick together and only protect their people. They are quick to throw blame and shift accountability to make sure they stay out of the line of fire. They point fingers and don’t do anything until the very last minute acting as if they realized the problem at first but it was brought to their attention. They are a bunch of snakes and backstabbers. They throw you in under a bus and don’t help and say your the problem, especially if your a new employee. They give zero about your expertise or experience for the love of teaching. THEY WILL DRAIN YOU. If your looking for a supporting environment DONT WORK HERE. This place is horrible. They need to fire all upper management and start over. They’ve been there too long and they have no idea how the real world or schools work now. What a waste of grant money

My older son attended Piney Branch ES between 2000-2004 and we loved the school. He had great teachers and the opportunity to participate in the advanced math and reading programs. Being a Latino mom, I loved the multicultural environment that reflected so well the values of Takoma Park.My son graduated last year from UMCP with a bachelor in E Engineering and I think he owes a big part of his success to the education that received in this school and the other local public schools that he attended.

My son loves it.... it's great schools and learning environment for kids. The principal is. Dr. Gadsden is an outstanding leader with almost all her staffs. The assistance principal and a few members need to avoid favoritism and need to be professional in their communication with kids and parents.

hi I’m a parent coming from ridge crest elementary and I believe that this school deserves a 10/10 because my kid goes there and they love it there, whenever they come home they tell me how much fun they had and how much they learned! And one time they said that it feels like their second home.
