Kent County High School is located in the smallest county in Maryland. Kent County High School has alot to offer and deserves to get the credit and attention it rarely gets. Home of the Trojans, KCHS has fabulous teachers and staff and even better students!!!!!!

I currently attend Kent County High School and have no problems with it. Yes we have racial issues and fights but what school doesnt have that. We all have great opportunities here and great expriences. There are some teachers that need to quit or retire.. Some that cross the line quite a bit but there ...  Read more

I am a former studnet and recent grad of KCHS and think it is fair to say that the school has hit a low in the recent past, but is on the way up. A new administration has come in and has made significant improvments in recent years. The major problem, I think, is a lack of school spirt due to recent ...  Read more

Kent County High School, like most other high schools in the country, is trying to regain control of the school.

The new and improved KCHS is a vast improvement from before. Mr. Silver and Mr. Schrecengost have worked together to build student moral, school pride and have tried to bring in parent involvement. Come to the school, participate in your students activities, during school and after (sports, meetings, ...  Read more

Kent County High School is on the rebound, but has a long, long way to go to be competitive. Drugs and alcohol are a problem as well as teacher apathy. The school is not solely to blame, parents turn a blind eye to underage drinking. Fights occur every day in the school. Racial problems exist -- ...  Read more

I have just graduated from Kent County High School, and as a student who was constantly involved with SGA, PTSA, and extracurricular activities I feel I can offer an honest account of the school. The first three years I was there (Aug03 - June06) our principal and our superintendent were inefficient ...  Read more

Wow, the previous reviews were very harsh. The school is on the rise, so fear not. We just received a new principle and superintendent so things are getting better, much better. The new principle came from an Elementary school, so everyone thought he was going to get overwhelmed, but he is doing an incredible ...  Read more

Administration does not support exracuricular activities. School is geered to much towards college bound students and not enough for vocational opportunities for those who will not be going to college. Poor leadership from principal.

There are a few teachers at KCHS who really do care about our students but the learning enviroment is jeopardized every day by the lack of support from administrators. We need to a clean sweep of administrators in Kent County, with the exception of Mr. Hudock who actually seems to care about the students ...  Read more
