... Read more communicate with us about everything from special needs for one of my boys to busing issues. All the teachers, admin, nursing and even custodial staff are just wonderful. We have experienced great communication and teaching. Most importantly our boys are genuinely happy at their new school. Additionally, the Lisbon ES PTA mentoring program was a welcomed surprise to a new family in a new town and school. We have been at Lisbon Elementary school for 3 years. I now have a 2nd grade boy and a 5th grade girl. We are extremely pleased! We have had our children at private school, and one other public school, Lisbon by far has done the best job with our children. Teachers communicate well with parents.Individual
... Read more learning needs are identified promptly and plans are put into place to help the child succeed. I have found all of our teachers thus far to be dynamic and outgoing with the students. I always feel welcome when I am in the school. The office staff are always pleasant and helpful. I am also impressed with seing the Principal and Vice Principal greeting the students in the morning outside no matter what the weather is, and saying goodbye after school. I believe that the children are not put first. I also think that the teachers don't communicate well enough with the parents before doing what they think is best. Racial issues should be taking more seriously. The children need to come first no matter what!

I'm very happy with Lisbon ES. The teachers are attentive to the students needs and communicate to the parents any concerns. I get notes of praises and on problems they're having. The agenda books they use to communicate between teachers and parents are useful. If I send a note it is answered quickly.
... Read more I can check the agenda book daily to see what is going on. I've had 4 children attend Lisbon ES and have been very happy with the school. There are a lot of parent volunteers and family events. They could lighten up a little in the lunch room! Read less

The school needs improvement in respecting the children. The school presents with an uptight atmosphere. Though a geographical issue, the school lacks diversity in the staff and student population. Poor communication skills between staff and parents was also experienced. Overall, very disappointed

Advanced Placement
