The school really needs to be renovated. Since there isn't enough space some kids are taking classes in trailers and/or hallways. This can be very distracting. I won't say all but some of the teachers are informative and do keep me apprised of my childs academic behavior. I am extremely pleased because one of them is his math teacher. She is on the money with the children. Works hard to make them understand the math concepts and offers herself for tutoring

I have had children enrolled at John Hanson for 1 1/2 years now. Thus far I have been pleased with the education my children have received at the school. My children were placed in the enrichment classes and this seems to be a better environment in which they can learn. My children report fewer distractions

Well, my daughter attends it and it is an ok school. the kids learn in small trailers, and their are no walls in the building so it is hard for them to learn. My daughter has attended this school since last year (6th grade) and she likes it. We moved to Waldorf from Virginia and I was very concerned about the curriculum here. ... Read more are great about emailing and calling us to keep us informed about her progress. They have had fights at the school but it has not effected our daughters performance at all. The staff is extremely nice also. If I could, I'd let her finish 8th grade there as well but unfortunately we are moving again. Read less

Well we're at the end of the school year and Hanson has proved to be a disappointment. My child is a part of the enrichment program there and teacher involvement is lacking. not once have I received a call or e-mail from a teacher if my son had fallen behind, but they would call if he talked to much

Advanced Placement
