I would give the school 3 out of 5 stars. I don't care for the math department at all. I don't think any of the teachers do a good job teaching math in this school. My 2 kids went from GT math students to standard and confused, the schools answer is to get them a tutor.

FMS is a great school. Even though there are cliques everywhere you look, most of the kids are nice to one another. But some of the kids just take your fun learning away. Also, I was actually quite angered that we did not have something as basic as Air Conditioning, but we have a heater. I also was very disappointed on social aspects. School is meant for learning AND making friends. And the fact that we cannot sit with whom we chose at lunch is ridiculous. We are not in elementary school. Come on Franklin. Read less

I was very disappointed with Franklin MS. Never in a million years would I have thought that my child would be in a school without the most basic of conveniences like Air Conditioning. The staff spent more time and energy stating that there were 1,500 students instead of catering to any one of them.

The students were not the best behaved, mostly because there are just too many. I thought that I had thoroughly researched this school but I was very disappointed. My child only attended one year- no way I would send him back. Read less
