As a parent, I promote and encourage reading in my home. I am so pleased that my daughter is fortunate to have Ms. Houseman as her 6th grade Language Arts teacher. Ms. Houseman has a great journal assignment that requires the children to write weekly journals on books read that week. They must read a

This will ensure Ms. Houseman that the child is actually reading the book because she is fully aware of the contents of the story. Ms. Houseman also takes the time to write her reviews on each child's journal. I say it's like having a book club in which the books are read and discussed by not only summarizing the story but including the author's purpose. Great job, Ms. Houseman! Read less

It's a great school. I went to elementry schools in Florida, compared to there this was the greatest school in the world. They had activities, music, and made learning fun. If I had to go throught middle school again, I would definatly go to SRMS all over again. What ever people say about our school

I think that if I would have gone to any other school, I wouldn't have made it to where I am today in Reading and Spanish thanks to Mr. Gravelle and Mrs. Daigle.
