My children and I love Parks! This is the first school that they've attended in the area that I feel comfortable when I drop them off in the morning. Mrs. Blacktree's leadership is excellent and she maintains high standards for the school. The third and fourth grade teachers are excellent. If your

My child was behind in math after attending local private schools but the school worked with her and am pleased to say she scored above average on the math section of the MSA. I know that is because of the attention of the teachers. My children received plenty of academic challenges. If there was a discipline problem, the teacher was quick to correct it. We had a great school year and looking forward to the next one. Read less

I have three children in this school and I have watched my thriving children loose complete interest in school. There is no motivation, no challenge and no teacher feedback. Your child can easily become a number and get lost in the system. The students watch entirely too much TV. If it s too cold, or too wet to go outside, the kids have to have recess inside and watch movies. They also watch movies in music and as a treat. They have watched: Fantasia, The Muppet

My child is a straight-A student and is in advanced math and reading, but they d be an average student at a good school. They do not spend time learning how to take the state standardized tests. They take BCRs pretests but do not review them nor work on them. It seems they re just happy they got the students to take them. This school is a glorified day care. I expect more. Read less
