Lackey has a great music department. That includes the marching band. More students should get involved with their marching band because it helps gain college credit.

Lackey Highschool is the best High school in the state of Maryland when it comes to extra curricular activites. I graduated from Henry E. Lackey last year and I can truly say that I've seen a gigantic improvement in the structure and teaching. Lackey has started an after-school tutoring program, they have shaped up their sports program, found solid and supportive teachers, began a MAP program (Making Achievement

Lackey helped prepare me for my life after high school and has shaped me into an involved and supportive student at Towson. 13 and 1 two years running (football, 03/04 and 04/05) if your interested in sports lackey is by far the best in the county, and 2nd best in the state! wrestling in 2002 there were 3 of our wrestlers that were state champions!

Read more always willing to help, we have a program called MAP(making achivement possible) which has helped me alot, and yes we may not have enoug subs. but for the most part it's the students that are keeping the school back. Our football team even went to state. So its really not that bad of a school. If parents and students would do more it would help out alot. Read less

This school is probably the worst in the county, the freshman class in 2002 was 459. The school's sports are very low-key and unprofessional, and the advanced placement courses are minimal. Read more I had different substitutes for a full month and the replacement teacher was unorganized and most likely underqualified, I did not learn anything and am now severely struggling in other higher-level math courses. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
