I am a current student, and Suitland is a great school, the principal is great, and so are the teachers. The kids are just bad, but they are taking care of that to make it better for us who want to learn. Also their NJROTC, is the best program there, and every student should join.

I am a former student of SHS and I SHS is by far the best school in PG County. They challenged me like no other and the environment is awesome. SHS is way more than a school but a family. As a recent graduate, I keep in contact with the faculty often and everytime I go to visit they approach me with ...  Read more

I am a former student of SHS's Visual arts program. When I was attending Suitland I received a grade A education balancing IB & AP classes, art classes, after school programs and activities while still graduating with a 4.2 GPA. The teachers at Suitland helped me receive not one but 6 scholarships ...  Read more

Im going into the IB program at suitland this year. Im a sophmore and I know the classes will be challenging, but it's for the better. This is an excellent program and not many schools in Prince Goerges County has it. You might here that Suitland's crazy but it's a really nice school.

My daughter will be a Junior at Suitland H.S. in the Fall of 2007. She is taking 3 International Baccalaureate (IB)Courses and is being academically challenged. I think Suitland is changing for the better. It always takes time to get things right once they've gone wrong and it's no different with schools. ...  Read more

As a former student of SHS I loved it. Granted no school is perfect and it could definitely use some work in places but I enjoyed my experiences there. I fully took advantage of the IB and VPA program which were excellent and helped prepare me completely for college. It's all about taking advantage of ...  Read more

I am a parent of a 10th and 11th grader at suitland. I am an involved parent. Since my kids started at suitland, i have seen a marked improvement at the school. Kudos to mr. Fosett. I just want to say, as a student, I think that Suitland is one of the best schools in PG county. Our principal, Mr. Mark Fossett, has turned the school around tremindously in the last two years. Yes, there are still some thing that need to be worked on, but no school is perfect.

I have a child who is a vocal student in the SHS VPA, The program is phenomenal, the experiences that these children are exposed to and the training that they receive is second to none. Within the VPA program, the instructors work very hard to acheive exellence from their students, and we parents who ...  Read more
