The new administration is dedicated to improving the reputation of Edgewood and getting students the recognition they deserve for their hard work. I am proud of my child and our school. Read less

I have 2 children--one just graduated this year and has been on the honor roll for every quarter since she was in EMS. My son has ADHD and EMS is great with children in the IEP. Both of my children where in the Baltimore County School system and the school that they were in had a great reputation,

... Read more me to tell me what a pleasure it is to have my children in their classes. I was very pleased that a teacher would take the time to do that. My oldest daughter was invited to apply for the Math and Science program at Aberdeen HS; she feels very stongly about attending EHS instead. My children look forward to going to school (most of the time). Parents, don't upset your childern unnecessarily by bad-mouthing EMS; let them make up thier own minds. My son attented Edgewood middle school and we had no problems at all. Sure, there are some problems but all schools have their share of problems. Edgewood has a bad rep and it's a real shame.

This is a great school. My child gets strait A's and all of the children are cared about. Yes occasionally there are fights but aren't all middle and high schools like that? I have two sons that attend EMS. I am very pleased with the school overall. The teachers do a very good job with helping the kids stay focus. The teachers try to do anything that they can to help my children receive the best education. Thank you everyone at the school, great job!

One of my children attended this school several years ago and my youngest currently attends. I have had nothing but good experiences here, as have my children. EMS has an extremely diverse population, which can lead to problems. Sure, there are parents who send their children to EMS who don't care

This school has a good community feel, so if you feel that it is important to allow your children to experience an education in an environment that simulates real-life experiences, this is the place. My youngest child was in a private school previously and has not received the kind of education he is now getting at EMS. The teachers go out of their way to help students, but they can only do so much. EMS needs parental involvement, as does any school. Read less

Advanced Placement
