The ptsa, administration, and staff are ready to familarize the community with the school. Contact with administration is easy via emails or by phone. The homework hotline is not perfect. Our new principal is very visible from morning arrival to dances to other events. The open-classroom structure of the school makes for a louder than ideal environment. i am currently an 8th grader at Boonsboro Middle School and i like the school but i also have a little worries about our learning enviorment and safety at the school. As for the learning enviorment i think that they should have more things to reach out to kids as to what things these kids are intrested

They do not let us listen to our iPods at lunch like we did last year (we had a different principal) and that nothing exciting ever really happens. I'm a student at BMS and I personally have never had a problem with the school. I've made many new friends since 6th grade and now in 8th grade, I still love it. I feel confident about high school and my parents seem to think its a good place too!

As for the learning environment and curriculum, I thought the teachers where helpful, and that the learning process was in general pleasant. As for fca, no one has to join it, it is simply a before school

In my experience, I received almost no communiation from the schools except for one marking period. My daughter graduated in June, and maintains that it was the worst environment she has ever been in. The general attitude of the staff was uncaring. At least 90 percent of the staff were not very nice

BMS is a wonderful place for your child to receive a good education. There are issues in the community (hate and bias) that obviously carry into the school house - but the issues are not tolerated in school. That message has been made clear to everyone. Let's not judge the school on issues that the
... Read more community must deal with. The truth is, Boonsboro and surrounding areas are not diverse and the growth in housing is changing that. We need to teach our children how to accept others that are of different skin tone, religion, etc. This is a family issue to be addressed, not a school issue. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
