I attented Westland Middle School for the 2003-2004 school year, and quite frankly, it was the worst year of school I have had. I was only a sixith grader, but was ALWAYS being harassed by many kids for no reason. If they don't like me, that's fine, but when I went to talk to the consouler office almost

Parents may have different views than I do, but i experienced this first hand. I think the school should have stepped in, to keep me feeling safe. These gave an extremely good basis with which to build in later years. Earth science a waste because they

Math instruction good, except Math 8, which again, was some nutty progressive method which failed miserably and relied on kids doing projects for no apparent reason . All classes were leveled by ability, so kids of similar abilities were grouped together. This was a very effective grouping system and I was very motivated by the other kids in my group. English teachers excellent-- taught grammar through Oscar/Effie method. Writing instruction was superb. Very high standards all around. Read less
