This my first year at Leith Walk Elementary. I'm very impressed with what I have seen so far. That Ms. Greer is the best! I pray she does not retire before my child leaves the school. Her passion for education and love for our children is priceless. We are blessed to have her as our principal!

But to your 99% that doesn't keep up the good work!!! I agree Ms. Scott and Ms. Sasha (before care and after care) ladies you are a pleasure to work with. To you and your staff thank you for doing a great job with our children! Read less

My child is in his second year at Leith Walk. I also attended Leith Walk as a child. Things have not changed as far as the structure of this school. It is a wonderful environment for students to learn as well as interact with other students and staff. I see many reviews here about Ms. Greer, in that
... Read more she 'doesn't play.' She is a wonderful principal and had she not still been the principal, my son would not be attending this school. It is not that she is too stern, but it is that she has high expectations and standards for the students that she oversees as well as the staff of teachers. Besides some of her office staff (except Ms. Scott), I have nothing bad to say about this place. It makes me proud to know that my son will be here when this school becomes Leith Walk Elementary- Middle. Read less

My son is just finishing his first year at Leith Walk. Overall, we had a good first year. The teachers work hard but with learning and education...the foundation MUST be in the home. The parents MUST take an active role in their child's education. My son is completing first grade with Mrs. Weems.

I will have a second child attending next year. I love Mrs. Greer.... she loves the kids and she does not play. Our children need discipline and she definitely teaches them to be responsible and respectful and that learning can be fun. My son competed in both the Math Bee and the Spelling Bee this year and he loved it. LeithWalk is definitely one of the better City Schools. Read less

I am not satisfied with this school. Yes, the principal don't play but the kids who needs the attention do not get it. The teachers will give you solutions for home but none for school. They don't give feed back or heads up when your child is falling behind or even when they are doing extremely well.
