Posted by a parent on 6/25/2012Awesome school, Great teachers who are really dedicated to their students. Everyone knows your name in this school - you're not just another number like some other schools. Some of my friends spent $20-30,000 more for their high school education and i got into better schools than all of them them and unlike most of them some of my best friends are still the Mounties I met in High School. Don't underestimate this place - like someone else said - it's the best kept secret in Boston
Posted by a student on 4/10/2011I am a current student at MSJA. I came freshmen year from a prestigious college-prepartory school and I eagarly wanted to GO BACK. I honestly hated every moment of MSJA my freshmen year. Some of the girls were not nice, and they wanted nothing to do with their future (Definately NOT what I was used too in middle school), and even though there were 3 teachers whom I loved to death, the others seemed completely out of touch with their students. But that was freshmen year. Freshmen year was a joke to me. I was doing things my freshmen year that I already did in 6th and 7th grade. Sophomore year was a complete turn around. I was put in honors classes, I was academically challenged and I found the girls more into their education. I found my way easily and the teachers even seemed more dedicated to the Honor students.
Posted by a student on 7/16/2010I graduated from the Mount and I can honestly say that the education I received there was top notch.I was accepted at every college I applied to,including an Ivy League school. There are alot of extra-curricular activities and great sports including basketball, tennis, and ice hockey. In addition to sports there are opportunities in the arts and community service. The faculty was great and always happy to help students if they had any issues. I spent four great years there and many of the girls I met are some of my closest friends today. I'd recommend it to any girl who wants to challenge herself and realize her true potential. It's a great school! :)

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDate: July 2023. We absolutely love Baldwin! My 4 year old reads, and it began with Phonics at school at age 3. They use fun activities like preparing a huge birthday card to encourage writing, reading and drawing. Social emotional development, learning through play, varied fun crafts and activities, fun and informational themes for each week and so many fun events throughout the year to involve families. The principal and staff really care about the students. Safe drop off and safe pick up. My kid loves school and looks forward to it. Teachers also recognize different paces or stages of development and learning and pace the teaching as per the child's stage. Scribbling or pretend writing is also encouraged as a step towards writing. Communication with teachers is easy and transparent. Date: July 2023Parent Review8mo ago - Jackson/Mann K-8 School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter's teacher Ms Joyce is great. I am blessed that my daughter's teacher is an experienced math teacher with 14 years under her belt. A month in and I can see the difference in my child's attitude towards math.Parent Review8y ago - Gardner Pilot Academy

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is pretty decent but also has its downs. I'm just going to give a quick summary: the men's bathrooms have piss all over the floor, the school does almost nothing to stop fights in middle school. But, the school also teaches well in math and english. Until these things are improved, I do not recommend this school.Student Review1y ago - Winship Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son has been at the Winship since K-1 and is now in K-2 this year. We are quite impressed with all he has learned in Kindergarten these past few months. He really loves learning at the Winship! He now reads fluently at almost 1st grade level and his math skills are developing very fast as well.We are very impressed by the teachers at the school, the support they provide to our son and the structure around the school. We also love the partnerships that the school has through Playworks, Urban Voice, City Sprouts, the Oak SquareYMCA for the after-school program. One example: Urban Voice organized a concert back in December in a local church on Washington St. It was such an amazing event and our son was really thrilled by this opportunity to perform with his peers and friends. Thanks to the Winship School, we are also able to bond with other parents and we are extremely satisfied to be part of this community. We built very meaningful relationships and are able to lean on one another to discuss how to make the Wisnhip experience the best for our children. We love the Winship and are so happy we decided to register our son to this school!Parent Review6y ago - Torah Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love my school! I‘ve been a student for a long time now and have always had enjoyable learning experiences. I have lots of friends at gisb and all my pears are great to work with! The teachers care about each student and teach with enthusiasm and patience. Even in ninth grade they find a way to explain difficult topics with games and fun worksheets. The preparation for exams is exquisite and extremely helpful. Since we are a small school everyone knows everyone. There are lots of friendships in various classes. The overnight class trips are always great and bring the class even closer. Since my school teaches both English and German on a fluent speaking level, I have the option to study in the US and in Germany. We have a great college counselor that also helps you apply at schools in other countries. My siblings both have similar experiences. Overall I am so glad I’m at this school and I don’t plan leaving it.Parent Review1y ago - St. Anthony Elementary School

There is also a beautiful synagogue, fun summer and winter camps as well as several holiday program throughout the year. Nutritious and homemade food is unbelievable. A great place for all!Parent Review1y ago
