We love Southbrook for so many reasons! The teachers are amazing and completely committed to the growth of each individual student. Southbrook makes learning fun for the kids incorporating art projects withinthe classroom, educational field trips, musical instruments starting in 3rd and 5th gr. , Spanish, typing and computer skills at a young age, and a very creative art program. The teachers are focused on teaching to each childs level. Whether your child is advanced or is struggling, they will get the appropriate accommodations at Southbrook. Backed by a very dedicated parents group, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and feel welcome in the Southbrook community. This is one of the only, and I must say best, non-religious private schools on the South Shore. Highly recommended. The best thing is if you ask any kid if they like school there, you will here a resounding "YES"

We love Southbrook Academy! We especially love the small classes and wonderful teachers. My son started at a larger, much more expensive private school. After three years, we decided to move him to a closer, less expensive school. We were nervous that Southbrook wouldn't compare. While Southbrook's facilites may not be as fancy, the education that takes place within those walls is comparable. We are very happy with the education that our children are receiving. My wife and I were looking for a school on the South Shore that was affordable, but offered an education that was superior to our public school. Southbrook was my first choice, but my wife was put off by their facilities. We opted for a larger, well-established Catholic school with spacious halls and fields. Though not Catholic, we figured the values and spirituality would be good for her. It was. The rest of her experience was not. She cried and played sick each morning to avoid school. After two years, we moved her to Southbrook and it has made a world of difference. She loves going to school each morning. I can t describe what a happy place this is. You truly cannot judge a book by its cover. These teachers understand children. They work WITH the child instead of forcing them to conform. Happy children make excellent learners. My daughter is excelling in both academics and socially. South Brook Academy has no peer on the South Shore, particularly not dollar for dollar.

We love Southbrook Academy! Our son attended Public school for two years and hated it. Every day after school he complained that school was not challenging, fun or exciting. After a few meetings with the Principle and his teacher we realized they had no interest in challenging our son. The only solution they had was for our son to help the students that were having trouble. Where does that leave our son? He should be learning new material as well. We enrolled him into Southbrook and have been thrilled with the results! Our son is learning new things and thriving. The teachers are dedicated and make learning fun. The entire faculty knows each child by name! Did I mention they learn Spanish? They also have many fun after school activities the kids can participate in. We give 5 stars!
