Attending Central was the best experience of my life. Not only did I enter college feeling prepared for the academic challenges, but I met my best friends within those halls. I was also lucky enough to find teachers who become mentors and remain positive influences in my life. I'm studying to be a teacher

I sent my child there hoping she would receive a fantastic education. She is currently attending an excellent college and has thanked me numerous times for sending her to such a great high school. I was very disappointed when I attended Central Catholic my freshman and sophomore years. It wasn't worth the money for a lesser education than the one I could receive at the public school in my town. ... Read more legacy. I ended up transferring to my public school, and I now attend Cornell University. The academics are not as challenging as a private school should be, but the athletics there are top notch. If you are an athlete, you will feel like you are in heaven. Read less

My son is a junior at Central and he was accepted because he is well rounded and did well on the entrance exam. He is doing much more than the kids his age in the public shcool. The teachers share so much of themselves. Each year has been challenging and there a sports for everyone. We work hard

The teachers at Central are involved with their students, and really care about each student. While it is true that there are some teacher who favor atheletes, the same could be said for just about any high school. The students, however, are much more concerned with how the athletic teams are doing
... Read more than with, say, theatre. I think that Central has prepared me well for college. In short, if you put in the effort, then you get back the pains for your efforts. To quote a teacher at Central: If you're going to leave at 2:05 (when Central ends for the day), then you're not going to get too much out of the experience. I graduated from Central a few years ago and am currently attending a competitive liberal arts college. I have found that I have entered into college much more prepared than many of my fellow classmates. It surprised me how many college freshmen do not know how to write a paper or have basic knowledge

I loved most of my teachers at Central and I think I had a wonderful experience there because I made an effot to get to know my teachers and allowed them to take an interest in me. It is not hard to succeed at Central if the student is motivated at home. I loved Central and would send anyone there if they have the chance. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. visual and performing arts, special talents in visual art, music, dance, drama, or other related studies;
psychomotor ability, such as practical, spatial, mechanical, and physical skills.
Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
