I had 3 children attend HCA. All have gone on to become successful adults. I wish my 2 sons could be there now, maybe with prayer and God's will, some day HCA will be able to implement a special needs program....I will be the first one to volunteer! I miss my HCA family.

My oldest is 22 years old and HCA forever helped him to be the man every mom
... Read more wants them to be. I have a 16 year old in high school who is in the top 5 percent of his class due to HCA's educational abilities. I have a 14 year old daughter who is currently there and a 9 year old son in the third grade. Every one of my children are different in learning and in personality and HCA has nurtured the education and personality of each and everyone of them. My children are getting a great education at HCA. Amazing curriculum, dedicated teachers and staff and a wonderful community of parents. And on top of it, they absolutely love going to school - so much so that our seven year old son is convinced there should be school on Saturdays! HCA is one of a kind

HCA has truly been an enormous blessing for our family. My oldest son hated school and we were 'losing him'. HCA welcomed my three boys ages 8, 10 and 12 with open arms and open hearts. ... Read more environment' and yet one of tough love. Expectations and academic accountability are high while taking into account respect for learning styles, strengths and weaknesses. The staff and parents take being Accredited very seriously. My boys enjoy the mixture of hands-on experiential learning with classic teaching methods. They love reading the Bible which was new to them and they've grown from this as well. It carries over to home and many discussions. My boys answer with a resounding 'No' when asked if they want to return to their old school. Read less

Wonderful school and teachers! We commute from Worcester, MA and it is well worth it. Caring staff and teachers. I recommend everyone take a look at HCA! It is a GREAT school with a safe Christian environment!

... Read more to have that worry put to rest. The school is academically challenging and Biblically on-target. The faculty members are well trained, caring, and very engaged with the students. Our daughters have benefitted from thier relationships with like-minded teachers and fellow students. Our older daughter is now in a demanding private Christian high school, and her preparation at HCA exceeded our expectations. Christian Education takes commitment on the part of parents, but in this case, with this fine school, our investment has paid off. We encourage everyone to take a closer look at HCA! Read less

My two children attended HCA from K - 8th grade. My husband and I were extremely pleased to find a Christian school that taught our children to think about everything they were learning from a biblical perspective. ... Read more and often fun! My children, now college age, still remember many of the things they studied at HCA. They remember the reports they wrote about historical heroes, the amazing learning centered field trips, rules of grammar, stories about missionaries, helpful parents and mentoring teachers. HCA prepared them for life in public High School and college, but more importantly, it helped prepare them to own their own faith. They have built life long solid Christian friendships. Three of my children graduated from Holden Christian Academy. They were all well prepared for high school and college. While at college on of my children called and shared that many of her classmates were struggling with the higher level thinking being asked of them. She was extremely comfortable with

All three of my children have stayed in contact with many of their HCA friends and consider them to be life-long friends. AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
Gifted and Talented

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
