This school has many great programs! Concert Choir, the amazing Concert Band, Jazz Band, state champions in Football and many other sports. There are many after school programs and clubs. I love this school. The teachers are 100% supportive, the wealth and variation of courses are all wonderful oppurtunities. Yes, a lot depends on you -- to keep up with your work, to take care of yourself, to maintain your focus. You have plenty of help, though. Many of the programs here -- sports, International

It depends on how you take your education and the crowds of friends you hang around. I am fully pround to be student here and have never got susspended so I recommned this school highly to great learners! The staff is great and gets along with students so well and Mr. Previty is the best staff in there!

I feel very lucky to have gone to Brockton High. It's truly an amazing place. There isn't another school like it. There was a planetarium, olympic size swimming pool, skating rink, sports stadium, and every kind of extracurricular activity you could imagine. They have classes for all levels of learning

If one were to visit Brockton High, they would see every member of administration out and about, interacting with the students, not locked up in an office like at most schools. This administration is second to none. The faculty provides a loving support for all students. Opportunities at Brockton High are endless-- the school has a multidude of top-notch programs, from well-known athletics, to an acclaimed music department, to countless other extracurricular opportunities which provide students with valuable life opportunities. This school has a bad reputation with regard to treating parents. A large number of schools administrators are highly opinionated and out of touch with students' and parents' realiaty. Communication with parents is not efective, especially on the phone. The school leadership along with the teaching
... Read more force do not reflect the student body, which is very diverse and mainly comprised of immigrant and African American children. This could explain the widespread lack of motivation and dropout rates among numerous students who do not see adults with the same values and cultural backgrounds to inspire them. A culture of nepotism and favoritism tends to dominate this school with reference to hiring people for leadership positions. In order to improve this school, profound restructuring will have to take place. Parents and community leaders should play a pivotal role in this restucturing. Thanks for your attention. Read less

I have had 4 children go to Brockton High School with mixed results.. my eldest daughter is bright and was in advanced classes and did beautifully-my eldest son, dropped out his freshman year and a full year later they were still calling me telling me he was absent for the day every month or so. ... Read more his friends said his name was called out on the intercom to go to the office- and my severely special needs daughter that went there and was cared for very well. But my son who has severe ADHD and is a freshman there now cannot get the services he needs. He is failing and they want to put him in Champion Charter -With his ADHD, he still gets suspensions for forgetting his ID- and I explain that keeping him out of classes makes him fall behind more- no one listens Read less

Advanced Placement
