Read what parents are saying about Stuart Hall School For BoysStuart Hall is an amazing experience for young boys. The faculty and staff go above and beyond to lay a solid foundation of respect, compassion, integrity, and intellectual abilities. We have found the school to be a warm and unifying place for all children who strive to be their best selves.
Posted by a parent on 10/19/2020Our son transferred to Stuart Hall in 2016 from another private school in the New Orleans area. We could not be happier with our decision to move him. The teachers teach so much during the day that any homework is a mere review. I am amazed with what my son has learned. Also, while the school is very educationally challenging they also are equally nurturing, loving and caring. They also teach the boys etiquette, manners and respect. We absolutely love the school.
Posted by a parent on 3/22/2018Stuart Hall strikes me as very much a one-size fits all approach to education that works for many boys, and the parents are generally amiable and enthusiastic (which I scored 4 stars in the review). If, however, your boy does not "fit the profile," Stuart Hall is likely not the place for you or your child. Unfortunately although I suppose understandably, this is not something that is emphasized in the sales pitch. Be prepared to hear what you or your boy could do better or that Stuart Hall just is not for you, but don't expect much from the school if any trace of difficulty is encountered. This seems to be true even with very young children. We regrettably did not do sufficient homework on this school and now find ourselves wishing.
Posted by a parent on 12/3/2012Stuart Hall provides a phenomenal all around education for boys. We left Holy Name and are thankful we did. We regret not getting him to Stuart Hall sooner. He has received an excellent education and has been challenged and nurtured to grow intellectually and spiritually. Stuart Hall has helped our son grow into a responsible and caring gentleman. My son is currently in the 7th grade and we are so sad to be leaving this wonderful school. We have not experienced or seen ANY of the gossip or judgment some people have expressed on this site. Stuart Hall is a wonderful community and we are proud to be part of it.
Posted by a parent on 5/6/2011As a black family living in a very racial world, entering Stuart Hall (a predominately white school) was a concern of ours. We knew that the academics standards were high. Our only concern was social acceptance. To our delight after 7 years, our child has been accepted, included & he has flourished in his surroundings. I have read the other blogs and cannot say we have ever experienced the same or discovered racism. The Principal, Headmaster, teachers & Staff have treated us equally, fairly and on several occasions have gone way beyond the call of duty. I feel my child has & still is experiencing educational and social growth, due to the nurturing environment of Stuart Hall. Certainly we all have our differences, political, race, religion and we have often argued about the same because intelligent people can differ and agree to dis-agree.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at SJA is GREAT! If parents had a bad experience at SJA or have given this school bad remarks, it's because they DID NOT want to follow the school policies. Ms. Frost does enforce her school policies as well as the teachers. Some of the parents should remember if you do not follow directions, how do you expect your children to follow directions when they see you are not doing it .... Food for thought.Parent Review4y ago - Holy Name Of Jesus School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUrsuline Academy welcomed our family so warmly this year. The elementary faculty and staff got to know our daughter and went out of their way to let me know how happy they were to have us as part of their school. The environment is very nurturing to the whole child. The children receive classroom instruction, small group instruction, and one-on-one attention from the teacher. There are engaging activities to reinforce concepts learned in the classroom. The reading curriculum includes books with themes that promote social-emotional development all while learning literary concepts and critical analysis. All-girls environment gives the opportunity to cater the curriculum to engage girls. The campus is beautiful, and I feel that my daughter is safe there. Kid-approved cafeteria menu with lots of choices. School traditions are very sweet and unite the school community. One of the best things was that the student body is diverse compared to other schools in town.Parent Review10mo ago - Ursuline Academy Elementary
