This school did nothing less than scar me for life.

The only reason why I would give this school a somewhat good review is because there are a couple of good teachers who really do know how to teach and care about the students. Other teachers give of the vibe that they hate their job and just teach by reading straight from the textbook. Another negative aspect is that the highschool is so strict that it felt like I was in a correctional facility. At "dances" the students were not even allowed to dance. A christian school is suppose to teach you how to handle things correctly in the real world but instead all the school did was put up harsh barriers and shield students from all things that were considered secular. The chapel services we were made to go to every week were most of the time were the same constant yellings from one of the pastors... so if that isnt what your looking for I would look for some place else. But to end this on a good note, some of the teachers, once again, were some of my favorite people I met and were amazing at what they do. They were the ones who helped the students grow not the adminstration or the pastors.

This is a very accepting, flexible, and accommodating school, with a wonderful headmaster and teachers. My Learning Disabled son is enjoying school, and has been allowed to take a leadership role in the Marching Band, which is wonderful for his self esteem!

Probably one of the finest schools in Baton Rouge. The school has an excellent principal , and it is reflected in the entire school...from the teachers, students, atmosphere.

Our son was new to CLA middle school this year. Classmates welcomed him & he made many new friends. We love the diversity of the student body & smaller class sizes. Also, he has one of the lesser known learning disorders & the principal & teachers were phenominal in working with us to make sure he has the supports needed & that he remains encouraged. Communication is great & we are thrilled to see his confidence increase. CLA has received numerous honors from ACT, & their national test score averages are well above grade level. CLA has well equipped classrooms & facilities; a great hot lunch program that our son actually loves & offers something for every student: arts, music, band, athletics, missions trips, etc. It is a smaller school with a sense of community, strong emphasis on biblical teachings and daily christian living that is important to our family.
