While this is more like the world, save the real-world learning for college. HS should be about realizing the potential of all individuals. I am a student at West Monroe, and I must say that WMHS is probably the best school I have ever been to. There are few problems with how the income is budgeted, but you could never find a school that had a better sense of pride and kinship. No matter the differences, students at West Monroe will come

As a student at West Monroe, I truly feel as if I am attending a school that is on the cutting edge of education in today's society. People will always have complaints, such as security; well, in a school of over 2000 people, teachers can only do so much, and it is a relief to see that so many teachers
... Read more take whatever precautions necessary to make sure the school is as safe as it could possibly be. The academics at the school are among the top ranked in Louisiana, and in the south. The band marched in the Presidential Inaguration Parade in 2005. The band currently has a streak of 40 years of straight superior ratings at marching and concert festivals. The WMHS choir is also a phenomonal program, putting many students in All-State Choir. As far as athletics go, hands down the best football team in the sate. Read less

I am a student at West Monroe High School. And I have to say it is a pretty good school. Everyone works together inside the school and out in athletic activities. One problem, although, would be protection of kids. I know we spent thousands on cameras, but why are kids still being threatened and why

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
